Chee Cheong Fan (rice rolls)

The chee cheong fan here is really quite unique as the sauce used is quite different from others that we've tried. For similar prawns/char siew chee cheong fan, light soya sauce are often used. For this, a thicker savory sauce is being used. Is hard to describe how it really tasted but both of us love the sauce so much that we wiped off not only the chee cheong fan, but the sauce as well!
The texture of the rice rolls is so soft and silky that it kinda felt that we were eating hor fan. The moment you put it in your mouth, it just melts! We ordered the one with shrimps and am glad to find that they are very fresh and crunchy. We love this! Will definitely try the other fillings next time we go there again.

Seafood ee mian ($4/$6/$8) We order the smallest portion but that was already huge and more than enough for 2 person
You might be thinking "but this is not dim sum!!" Exactly! that's what we thought also. We didn't really expect that wan dou sek will also sell other things other than dim sum. But we tried this as we were afraid that dim sum may not be able to curb our hunger!
And we were surprised at how non dim-sum dishes tasted very yummy as well! The moment the seafood ee-mian was served, there was a strong fragrance of wine that lingered at the cover of the bowl before the cover was being taken away by the waiter.
A closer look at the noodles, has generous serving of prawns, crabmeat (Picky girlfriend's favourite) as well as vegetables. Noodles are very "Q" and makes a perfect dish once topped with crunchy anchovies! Interesting combination but very very yummy!
