Wanton Noodles is something that Fussy Boyfriend has a weakness for despite being a very "rice-person". We have heard quite alot about Fei Fei Wanton Noodle so decided to check it out!
We ordered both the soup based and dry version to see if there are any difference in both versions.
Looking super ordinary, so we were thinking "what's the hoo-ha over this?". We tried the soup and it also tasted quite normal, with a strong egg noodle taste.
But the moment we tried the noodles, we knew why this Wanton Mee stands out from the rest. The noodles were incredibly smooth, and yes we are not exaggerating! incredibly smooth that you can just slurp the noodles like how advertisement does it effortlessly!
The texture is just amazing and we reckoned this was due to hand made noodles which is better than noodles that are machine made! The wanton also has a very thin skin that is almost translucent and the meat filling is fresh and tasty too.
Not too pretty we thought on the way it was presented and where are all the char siew and wanton?
After mixing and tossing the chilli evenly and only to realise all the ingredients were beneath the noodles!
The chilli was very fragrant and goes well with the egg noodles and gave the noodle an extra oomph. The char siew was also sliced thinly and is something that Picky Girlfriend likes as compared to those chunky ones which are hard to chew.
delicious and springy noodles!
Price range $3 (small), $4 (big). Additional ingredients at $1
All ingredients required for a successful wanton mee! :)
Picky Girlfriend's Rating for wanton noodle: 4/5
