Hup Chong Hakka Yong Dou Foo 合众客家酿豆腐

This store has been introduced to Picky girlfriend by her colleagues and now is time to let Fussy boyfriend to try and have his verdict done! It was around 2pm+ when we reached the coffee shop and unfortunately most of the items were already sold out.

But we still managed to get a few of their popular pieces such as the meatballs and ngor hiang which is a must try! Rule of thumb here is to try their home made fried items, something that will not go wrong ;)

However in order to have a well balanced meal, do remember to add in some greens as well!

Our yong tau foo is here and topped with sweet sauce

The waiting time was relatively short (probably cos it was preparing to close for the day), but on normal days, do be prepared to wait for as long as 30-45mins. We requested for our noodles to be separated from the ingredients and there are like many combinations you can try! (eg: noodles soup with ingredients in sauce, or vice versa or both in sauce etc, the shop owner is quite flexible in "customising" such orders)

We had both our noodles and ingredients separated with sauce.

All the ingredients have generous filling which is something we love and the fried stuff really goes well with the sweet sauce and chilli. And not forgetting the soup, it was sweet tasting as well :)

Do remember to order the meatball!!

Both Picky girlfriend & Fussy Boyfriend rating for Yong Tau Foo : 4.25/5

We will definitely be back again to try the popular ingredients which we have missed out when we were there!
