Yong Heng Fried Prawn Noodle 永兴炒福建虾面

Out with Starry Starry Night again who brought us around Ang Mo Kio for good food!

Long queue again since we go places where there are long queues!

Prices for take away $4, $5, $6 and Picky take away are packed in opeh leaf which Picky girlfriend likes as this will give the noodles an extra fragrance from the leaf. But since this was quite far from the place we stay, we ordered and ate it there.

The legendary opeh leaf for take away

Waiting time was about 15-20 mins

Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle $3

There were more thick bee hoon than noodles for this version and they were very well absorbed with the gravy and wasn't too dry. So just the right amount of gravy! Chilli is also sweet and goes well with the hokkien mee!

There were also 3-layer meat used that really makes the hokkien mee tastier. A pity that the serving is quite small as we finished them off pretty fast. Worth queuing but do order the bigger portions! :)

Tips:
  • The queue was really not in order when we were queuing. So just check with the auntie to place the order. Most of the people there were standing there when you thought they are queuing but are actually waiting for their food!
Both Picky Girlfriend and Fussy Boyfriend Rating for Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodles : 3.25/5
