Jin Hua Fish Head Bee Hoon 金华鱼头米粉

Following the Dried Mee Sua that we have tried in the previous post, there are also other stores which is really worth trying. Here's another one - it wasn't in the list that we wanted to explore, but we changed our mind when we saw this:

Check out the queue, like seriously?!?! is really THAT crowded and in fact is the only store that still has a long queue in the evening time (it was about 7pm then when we were there).

And here's what available on the menu

We ordered just the fish soup without the bee hoon and it was a good choice since we were not too hungry and this would be something light enough to curb our curiosity over the long queue.

Really wanted to know whether this is worth the queuing or people are really joining the queue like us (who follow the crowd!) :)

So we ordered the non-milk version and sliced fish instead of fried fish in order to taste the original soup base!

Fish meat soup $4

First take - fish soup is quite clear with generous serving of vegetables, sliced fish and tofu. There were also tomatoes and seaweed that completes the soup. When we tasted the soup, it has a strong and rich taste, so don't be deceived by the out look! the soup base is sweet and tasty and not too salty.

The slight tinge of wine (not sure what they put in) made the soup more aromatic!

The sliced fish is skinless, something Picky girlfriend really likes! Fish is tender and without fishy smell which is something you can taste when you try the original sliced fish as compared to fried fish.

Overall is still worth the queue for this bowl of tasty fish soup! We will definitely be back again, to try the soup with milk the next time if we happen to be there again!

Both Picky Girlfriend and Fussy Boyfriend's overall rating for Fish meat soup: 3.5/5
